PESSYP Success! – 2009/10

The Partnership as a whole has increased on each area of the PESSYP Survey, in particular the 3 Hour target.

2 Hours Curriculum – 92% (2009 – 88%)

3 Hours Participation – 65% (2009 – 44%)

Intra Competition – 82% (2009 – 69%)

Inter Competition – 60% (2009 – 53%)

Community Participation – 50% (2009 – 43%)

Leadership and Volunteering – 17% (2009 – 15%)

Gifted and Talented – 6% - (2009 – 5%)

The average percentage for the Primary Schools for the 3 Hour question was 89% which is a fantastic result for the partnership so well done!

The average percentage for the Secondary Schools for the 3 Hour question was 41% which is an increase from the previous year but is a big challenge for the partnership next year!

A huge thank you to all of the PLT’s, SSCo’s and everyone involved in the partnership for all of your hard work and commitment in 2009-10.

As you will be aware the Government will be making a decision on the continuation of SSP funding in September/October 2010. We will communicate this information to you as soon as we receive this.
