HLTA Training

Some of the Longcroft Primary Schools asked for some training for their HLTAs who are helping and taking PE Sessions in Schools.  5 of them came for the morning to Longcroft where they looked at lots of ways of communicating with pupils to improve control of a class.  They had great fun experimenting with the use of a whistle and gave lots of thought to the way they explained things through a drawing exercise.  They planned activities and were forced to adapt these at short notice.  It was great to be able to talk to others and share problems and ideas for solving them.  SSCO Anne really enjoyed the morning and discussed a more "ideas for teaching” based session at a later date.
