St Marys Triumph

On Tuesday 3rd November the St Marys Year 6 Football team went to South Hunsley School to play in the East Riding Football Finals.  There were teams competing for the trophy and the team played extremely well winning 4 games and drawing 1 in their group.  They went on to beat Howden in the semi-final and Westfield in the final - both matches going to extra time.  Particular congratulations to their goal keeping superstar Jonny Hirst who did not let one goal into the net in the competition at Longcroft or the final.  The final went to extra time were they scored in the last minute to avoid a penalty shoot out.  This is a fantastic achievement and they have a splendid trophy to proudly display.  St Marys also won their league for the Hull City Community Cup at the KC Stadium and go to the next round in December.
